She walked out the door to see him standing there. Even though the sun glared at her eyes, both making her squint and silhouetting him, she knew who it was. The sound of the outside world became more muffled as she retreated into her mind, the voices of the other people faded to nothing, all that existed was the two of them. As she took a tentative step towards him, he looked up from the book he had been reading and flashed that grin at her. Oh god, that idiotic, yet charming grin...she wanted to punch him and kiss him at the sdame time. He saw her hesistation and started to frown, thinking he had done something wrong. His head cocked in that way that reminded her of a little puppy as his face looked genunly worried and apologetic. At that point, she rushed forwards, throwing her arms around him, catching him off guard as he stumbled back a step and after a moment of uncertainty, he returned the gesture, placing his arms around her.
